2nd Line Support Engineer – Bracknell

2nd Line Support Engineer – Bracknell – £200 per day – 4 months

Responsibilities

  • Application support for company platform
  • Handling escalated incidents from first line members
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues on your own and as part of a team
  • Provide solutions and workarounds to incidents and problems
  • Work to SLA thresholds for incidents, requests and problems
  • Prioritising and Managing workload effectively, managing several open Incidents/Problems and mini projects simultaneously
  • Systems & Performance monitoring
  • Trend Analysis and Problem Management
  • Work with a variety of Business and Technical teams to enhance service
  • Ensuring that a high level of customer service and support is provided
  • Escalating problems where necessary to management or third party suppliers.
  • Keeping documentation up-to-date
  • Liaising with 3rd parties and suppliers
  • Carrying out daily check on firms infrastructure systems

Skills

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows server 2008+
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
  • Beneficial but not essential, knowledge of networking infrastructure
  • Beneficial but not essential, knowledge of linux
  • Beneficial but not essential, .NEt Framework / .NET Core application configuration
  • Beneficial but not essential, knowledge Azure Devops
  • Beneficial but not essential, knowledge of Docker
  • Beneficial but not essential, knowledge of AWS
  • Beneficial but not essential, knowledge of Powershell
