3rd Line Support Engineer – Bracknell

3rd Line Support Engineer – Bracknell – £250+ depending on experience – 3-6 months

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to excel at each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

The 3rd Line Engineer must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a 3rd Line Engineer;
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and with other people;
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills;
  • Expertise in network packet tracing and analysis;
  • A strong desire and focus on continual improvement and personal development;
  • Hold a minimum of two Microsoft qualification such as MCP, MCTS etc.;
  • Hold a minimum of ITIL v3 Foundation;
  • Hold at least two relevant IT qualification such as Cisco CCNA, SonicWALL CSSA or Master CSSA, Citrix CCAA, CCEE or CCIA, VMware VCP, HP ProLiant Servers.

The 3rd Line Engineer must also have experience of the following technologies:

  • Windows Servers;
  • Active Directory;
  • RAID arrays and SANs;
  • Server hardware;
  • Networking, inc. VLANs, QoS, routing;
  • Firewalls

It is desirable the 3rd Line Engineer will also have experience in:

  • Microsoft Azure;
  • WDS and MDT;
  • Group Policy;
  • Security;
  • Scripting.
