Delivery Project Manager – Bracknell – £500 – 6+ months

The Delivery Project Manager will lead the delivery of key projects for our customers using their experience of large, complex, business critical projects. These projects will typically involve accountability for significant levels of revenue, profit and growth and responsibility for the delivery of business change and benefit to the customer.

You are responsible for

    • Defining each element of the project plan and manage against these using appropriate governance ensuring appropriate and timely reporting and escalation. Scheduling and managing all project activities, including the overall and detailed delivery schedules, project milestones and dependencies, acceptance criteria, quality criteria, commercial arrangements and financial parameters and management of any sub-contractors / partners.
    • Ensuring the projects are managed in accordance with the relevant project management methodology, with regard to planning, control, reporting, documentation, quality, risk analysis and management and change control
    • Preparing and controlling the project budgets and ensure delivery against financial targets set. In particular to accurately forecast financial performance of projects
    • Ensuring all project ‘stakeholders’ are identified and sufficiently informed and involved during all stages of the project. Additionally ensuring each individual ‘stakeholder’ provides high levels of personal and public support to the project and high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the project life cycle
    • Leading, managing, coaching and mentoring all human resources from multiple global teams assigned to the projects to ensure high levels of performance and to develop ‘new talent’ within the Company for future projects. To generate a positive team spirit within team to ensure project success
    • To produce commercial models and Statements of Work for new engagements

Qualifications

  • 5 + years proven project management experience of IT solution design and development projects with a value of £1-2million gained in a supplier environment with responsibility for P&L management and a track record of delivering profitable projects.
  • Experience of managing customer relationships
  • Experience of managing teams including customer, contractor and third party suppliers
  • Experience of Software Integration and/or Business/IT integration
  • Ability to implement and enforce strong project management disciplines and overall project governance
  • Ability to manage, motivate and develop teams to deliver success
  • Ability to represent project management effectively in customer situations
  • Strong level of independence and efficiency while maintaining a high-degree of organisation
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated by the ability to articulate complex business and technology information both internally and externally
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English is required
  • Sound planning and time management skills and the ability to handle and prioritise multiple issues at the same time
  • Ability to push back and challenge customers when necessary
  • Ability to work with methodologies and frameworks to achieve project/programme objectives including Agile/Scrum
  • Solid grasp of MS Project
  • Ideally experience using SAP PPM or HP PlanView project management tools
