I am a well-organised, motivated and reliable person, capable of working within a team environment, or alone if required. I am also a good communicator, fast learner and willing to constantly enhance and improve my skill-set.
I am an enthusiastic developer with over 15 years of commercial experience, a good team worker and effective communicator with the ability to work autonomously. Started in 2002 by converting old ASP web project into PHP. 2002-07 I created my own CMS. I’ve used for my clients. This CMS was very useful and user friendly that’s why it was prefered by my clients instead of an other CMS on the market. 2007-11 I’ve started at Blue4you I’ve used my own PHP library in this company and improved in OOP and MVC manier. At this moment I didn’t used any framework yet Zend1 and Symfony1 was new on the market 2012 I selected Kohana3 framework to use for my project. I made a CMS (which is still working) I worked on Kohana3 about a year. 2013-15 I’ve started using WordPress for my clients because it was answering quite all needs. I’ve started using WordPress as a base of my project and adding my own php plugins if it’s necessary. In 2015 as companies ask for different framework experiences. I’ve experienced on Codeigniter about 2 months which was very similar to my Kohana3 experience. I’ve tried Symfony2 for a month.
I’m a software engineer with a passion for technology and I am distinguished by the depth and breadth of my skill set. I am committed to the quality of my work and continual expansion of my skill set. I have 16 years' experience in software development.
For over 16 years my specialism has been the Microsoft technology stack (DNA, .NET, WinRT, Azure) and the Web, but with the rise of Apple and Google mobile platforms I have diversified my skillset into iOS and Android. I also have an entrepreneurial streak; I created a company called Spondle ltd which specialises in event search and ticketing, mobile apps for events and bespoke software development. I have experience working on large public and private sector projects and I’m also adept at working alone on smaller projects either remotely or on-site. I also have excellent client-facing skills in that I have won projects under my own company banner.
My roles have varied from developer and team leader to technical architect and technical writer. I have experienced the whole software development lifecycle in both agile and waterfall models.
Virtually all projects I have worked on over the years have been logically tiered, often stacked Views atop MVVM atop SOA atop a repository with an async pattern inside MVVM. This architecture has worked beautifully across iOS, Android, Windows and Web platforms. Depending on resource constraints, I often utilise IoC/DI which makes a project more amenable to TDD and in the case of XAML dev, it's more Blend-able/designer-friendly.
My overall responsibilities have included; unit development, unit testing, technical architecture, business analysis documentation, user/product support and quality control. I am able to work well either individually or part of a team and enjoy collaborating with colleagues. I thoroughly enjoy solving problems with cutting edge technologies. I am an able and highly productive developer with an eye for detail. Core skills: Software development, team leadership, technical architecture, business analysis. more
