Excelsior Electronics - Director of software development
I spent nearly 12 years in the console and PC game industry. I worked in a number of areas from graphics and animation engines to art and animation tools, finally file systems and databases. I've done a broad range of languages but my main ones are C, C++ and Python. I come from a multiple platform background, partly from consoles, but also from having grown up bedroom programming on RISC OS (Acorn’s desktop ARM OS), before moving to Windows for work then GNU/Linux for fun and finally work. Since 2012 I've worked on GNU/Linux, often on ARM. Recently I have been developing test and measure applications on ARM GNU/Linux based boxes. I like to think of myself as a polite and easy going problem solver.
